Through events and fundraisers, SI Loomis Basin is able to contribute to Placer County individuals and organizations. Applications are usually available in October and due November 15. SI Live Your Dream Award is due November 15 — These education awards aid women who support their families and need additional training to improve their employment prospects. The SI Loomis Basin Club awards are up to $1,000 for several awardees. Applicants may only apply to one Club.  Awardees may be eligible for additional Regional awards. Loomis Soroptimist Investing in Dreams Award — Girls attending Del Oro High School may apply for these Loomis Soroptimist Investing in Dreams Awards which provide grants for education of up to $1,000. On the application, she must describe how she makes a difference through her volunteer efforts, especially for women and girls, and her future goals. SI Ruby Award for Women Helping Women — The Ruby Award goes to someone who improves the lives of women or girls in the community through her professional or personal activities. Teacher Grants — Each year, SI Loomis Basin awards small grants to help fund several teachers’ projects. Funds have been used for equipment, science projects, books and other endeavors that inspire students. Mail your application to SI Loomis, PO Box 1141, Loomis CA 95650 by Nov. 15. Dream It Be It Career Support  Award – Only girls who complete the SI Loomis Basin Dream It Be It program are eligible. SILB DIBI Application

 

Senior L.I.F.E. Center of Loomis annually receives a grant to fund teachers and support education programs. The club has supported the program since its inception by funding activities, volunteering at events and hosting meals.
